(609)620-0799 Fax (609)620-0791 e-mail: phsartori@pittencrieff-glen.com Dr. Paul Sartori has over twenty years of leadership experience, in diverse businesses, with the majority of that experience being in healthcare industries, and involving global responsibilities. He has served on the management committees of these businesses since the early 1980’s, and has been directly involved in determining business and organizational strategies. He currently is a Partner in the management consulting and executive search firm of Christenson, Hutchison and McDowell, LLC. Prior to electing to go into organizational
and executive consulting and executive search, Paul’s executive experience has
included managing and directing HR, communications and government relations in
the pharmaceutical industry, as well as in diagnostics. As the senior HR
executive for CIBA Corning Diagnostics, he served on the executive committee and
worked directly with the global Board representing Corning and CIBA to set HR
policy and organizational strategies for the joint venture. At CIBA, he
was on the US pharmaceutical executive committee for nearly 10 years responsible
for HR strategy, organizational development, communications and management
oversight for several subsidiary operations. He served on numerous international
task forces. Paul played a major role in the merger of
CIBA and Sandoz to become Novartis;
serving as the Executive Vice-President for HR, Communications and Government
Relations. He was asked to lead a global task force to restructure global HR
operations for Novartis and lived in Basle, Switzerland for approximately a year
in that capacity. Most recently, Paul was Senior Vice-President of HR for
Covance, Inc., a global pharmaceutical services company where he played a lead
role in the company’s attempted merger with a major competitor, and the
subsequent reorganizing of the executive team in Covance to manage the
businesses more globally. Paul has broad and deep experience in organizational change, building and creating executive teams, and executive selection and development. He has had direct experience in managing restructure efforts, creating joint ventures, managing and establishing subsidiary units, and creating effective management processes that engage the workforce productively. Paul has presented his work and ideas at a number of forums including a national conference sponsored by the Center for Creative Leadership, and to executive gatherings in Europe, Asia and the US. He has given guest lectures and taught at the business schools at Cornell, the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and the University of Virginia. He currently is on the Advisory Council of the Center for Strategic Human Resources Management at Rutgers University. Dr. Sartori earned a BA in History with Honors from Northeastern University, and an MA in Teaching, a Ph.D. and an MBA from the University of Virginia. He currently resides in Lawrenceville, NJ with his wife Anne, who is an independent education consultant advising college-bound students with learning disabilities. |
